Dedicated to
Tea Utensils for
Over Seventy Years.

Since its founding in 1957, Tokumasu has supported the culture of tea ceremony from Yokohama. Grounded in knowledge of chado, sencha-do, kado (flower arrangement), kodo (incense ceremony), and kaiseki, we connect directly with artisans across Japan to deliver authentic tea ceremony utensils.

Backed by longstanding partnerships with Kanbayashi Shunsho Honten — a Uji tea house with over 450 years of history — and Ginza Kyukyodo, we curate our collection with an unwavering commitment to quality you can feel in every use.

"In every bowl, we whisk our heart."

Our Story

Kyoto Kanbayashi Shunsho Uji Matcha supplied by Tokumasu Tokumasu Gift Box Since 1957

The brand name "Tokumasu" is derived from the name of the founder's great-uncle. Since our founding in 1957 on the Noge-zaka slope in Yokohama, our history of devotion to tea utensils in the Noge and Isezaki-cho districts has been the very foundation of this brand.

Tea ceremony is not about form — it is about heart. Even though utensils play a supporting role, we believe that fine utensils bring clarity to the practitioner's mind and enrich every bowl. That is why we insist on direct partnerships with artisans and producers, delivering only what is truly exceptional.

Drawing on our expertise in chado, sencha-do, kado, and kodo, we recommend the ideal utensils for every purpose — from beginners to seasoned practitioners.
